Majestic War has joined the fray!
Yo~! I'm new, and because of that, I'm no sure if I posted this in the right area....I apologize if I didn't. My username is Majestic War--just call me Majesty. I attempt to animate using BannedStory 4, and if possible, I would like some tips on how to make my animations more fluid and what I should record with (In case you're wondering, my laptop is a Toshiba, so there are limitations as to what I can record with). Once again, I'm Majesty, and I hope to make lots of friends and become part of RC!
Edit: Apologies that I've been offline recently--I have been trying to convince my parents to buy AdobeCS6 in order for me to start animating. Anyhow, I'm back now. I've been wondering; how exactly would I animate? I create characters using BannedStory4, but then...where do I go from there?

Re: Majestic War has joined the fray!
Your Majesty! -bows- Welcome to RC! Explore the forum, make sure you understand the rules and make yourself comfortable!
You seem like a beginner :D Cool that you chose RC to start your career.
If there is something I can help you with your animation carrer, it would be to recommend you to change your method of making videos.
I believe you are making videos by setting up your scene and character, start you recorder and start dragging you character through the scene with your mouse to create movements?
There is a limit to what kind of movements your hands can do and the animation quality will mostly turn out bad. And there are a lot more drawbacks, there is simply no reason for you to keep using that method.
Instead of letting your style to draggin you back, you shuld jump out of the box and use a proper animation software to create your works!
If you don't know which to use, you can show us an animation which describe your taste best. We can then guide you which software you might want to use :)
Enjoy your stay in the forum!

- Here is a few software you can chose, Click:
- > Adobe Flash - A lot of people in the animation community uses this software to animate. Most decent fight animation was made in this. I recommend this!
> Adobe Fireworks - Although not as common as Flash, this works great to create animation with. Head-admin of this forum uses this.
> Sony Vegas - A LOT of people uses this. Although the quality of pixel animations will decrease, it's a easy editing software to create movements with. If it's fight animation you are aiming for, I don't recommand this.

Majestic War has joined the fray! (2)
Thanks, Jaycie, I am in the process of downloading Adobe Flash. Should I use a sprite sheet saved from BannedStory? I probably will have a lot more questions, but for now, I just wanted to know if I create my own characters, or use characters from MapleStory. Thanks again.
Also, should I use Adobe Flash or Adobe Flash PLAYER?

Meh... I keep telling people this:
"Do not double post, or more"... is a forum rule. This means do not post two posts (or more) in a row, unless it's a update or a reasonable bump.
Don't worry though, you are new to forum thingy so I guess the mods will let it go this time. But really do read the rules again and make sure you understand them. Ask if needed.
More question shall refer to the "Support section".
Good luck, and feel free ask again :D (Obey the rules ofc.)

That is up to you. Whatever you want. A lot of people make their character in Bannedstory and there is no problem with that. There is a few method to make a character depends on what you want.Majestic War wrote:Should I use a sprite sheet saved from BannedStory? If you chose to use Flash as animation software, you want Adobe Flash. Any version.Majestic War wrote:Also, should I use Adobe Flash or Adobe Flash PLAYER?

Welcome to the forum your Majesty. Seeing as though Jaycie has hinted you in on most of your questions that's all I have to say I suppose.
I've merged your post, but try to refrain from double posting. I'll let you off this time~.
